I Have a Brick in Kenya

Sargy Education Centre gives quality primary school education to over 200 disadvantaged children in Rusinga Island, Kenya.

Blythswood has been working in partnership with Sargy since 2011, contributing financial aid towards the construction of the new school building and volunteer centre, and raising funds towards the school’s month-to-month running costs.

This partnership organises vision trips for supporters and  volunteers, sponsors livestock for the Sargy Widows Self-help Group, provides mosquito nets to protect disadvantaged families from insect-borne disease, and helps the young people with school fees so that they can go on to secondary school and even to further education.
