Talita Kum 2 is a day care centre which provides social, educational, medical and spiritual support to secondary school children, who come from families with difficulties and live in the town of Jimbolia. The programme aims to alleviate child poverty, provide staple diet, prevent early school leaving, premature marriage, emigration and juvenile delinquency, develop artistic skills, engage children in recreational activities and familiarise them with the Christian faith. Children also have the opportunity to go on summer camps and ski trips with support from volunteers associated with Südsteirische Rumänienhilfe (see Pfarre Veitsch too).
