About Blythswood Romania

Blythswood Romania is a charity organization aiming to provide practical and spiritual assistance for people in need. The main office is in Floreşti near Cluj-Napoca, but our activities spread throughout the whole country.

Blythswood Romania has a close realtionship with Blythswood Care (Great Britain), that since 1966 has combined the Christian message with practical help for those in need all over Europe, Africa and Asia, regardless of political views, religious beliefs or ethnic origins.

Our objectives:

• - to improve the living conditions of people in difficulty, namely:
•    + young people from orphanages;
•    + children/young people from disadvantaged families;
•    + the victims of natural disasters;
•    + persons with disabilities;
•    + disadvantaged families;
•    + elderly without means of support.
• - to develop strategic partnerships at the community level to solve the community's social problems;
• - to support local communities to develop socially responsible business;
• - to involve the decision makers (in government, institutions, NGOs, business environment) and citizens into actions of community interest.

These objectives are achieved through social assistance projects, partnerships and by distributing aid.

Blythswood Romania aims to become financially self sustaining by running different commercial activities, including a Bed & Breakfast, charity shops and the bulk sale of second hand goods.
